Devon for Vice President

Devon along with 30 other students ran for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer for their 5th Grade Student Council. I tried 9 million times to upload the video of his speech but apparently it is too large. His speech which he wrote all by himself is below, enjoy! Although he did not get elected I am extremely proud of him! So, I nominated him for Vice President of our house! :)

Devon’s Speech

Hi my name is Devon Lewis. I am running for Vice President because I am a hard worker and a fair and responsible student. My main objective is to encourage everyone to give their opinions for our school. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. I understand and believe that they are all important to contribute to a successful team. Imagine a baseball team, if everyone was a GREAT batter who would catch or pitch? The team would have a weak spot. The whole school is a team, we all matter. If you give me a chance and an idea, I will try to speak for you during our meetings.
I also think it is important for our school to learn about and get involved in charity. Helping organizations and others would teach us life long lessons. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me. Please vote Devon Lewis as your Vice President!!!
