Both kids got new shoes...Devon got some really cool, nylon Nike's and B got her first pair of Twinkle Toes! She insists on stomping in them to make sure they light up! Thanks again Gigi!

This post is a month over due...

As most of you know B turned 2 on June 11th. She had a great birthday with friends and family. She also went to the doctors for a check up and shots.

Height: 34 1/4 in - 50-75%

Weight: 27 lbs and 1 oz - 50 -75%

Head: 49.5 cm - 90%

Brooklyn is amazing!

She has become quite the little chatter box lately - she talks ALL the time and she loves to sing her ABCs, Ring a Round the Rosies and Wheels on the Bus.

Daddy and Emmy got her off her BahBah (pacifier) a few days after turning 2 which is pretty impressive because she LOVED that thing!

We are slowly working on potty training - some days she is totally interested and others not so much. She has gone #2 three times on the potty so far!

She has enjoyed being in the pool on these hot summer days! We got her some arm floaties that she feels completely confident in. She will go ALL over the pool whether you are around or not.

Brooklyn's 2nd Birthday!!!

Brooklyn turned 2 on Friday and had a FABULOUS birthday weekend!

The Kid's Sunday Funday!

Yesterday was a fun day for the kiddos! First we started out at Noah's 2nd Birthday Party! Noah LOVES baseball so his party was at a park with a baseball field next door. How perfect for him! They also had a lady who did face painting and balloon animals!

Afterwards we headed to Kelly's to go swimming but shortly after we arrived it started raining! Kel & I were a little bummed but the kids weren't phased at all. They had a ball running around the house and playing in the rain!

My Sweeties on Saturday

Devon volunteered to serve breakfast for our church youth group at Applebees on Saturday. He was the youngest volunteer and did a GREAT job!

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope all the moms, stepmoms, grandmothers and god mothers in our lives had a great mother's day yesterday!

We started my mother's day at the zoo with my sister Kelly. I hadn't been in years and thought it would be a fun, family treat for the kids. Well, I quickly remembered why we don't go very often. The Houston Zoo, in my personal opinion, is a disappointment. Most of the exhibits you can barely see the animal because they are hiding or if you are lucky enough to get a glimpse of them, it is their rear end. That does not make for an excited almost 2 year old! She did like seeing the giraffes, elephants and monkeys. Thankfully they were up close and personal. Devon's favorite animal and sighting was the tiger even though he was ALL the way in the back. Figures!

After the zoo, we headed home for nap time, B slept 3 hours! We relaxed the rest of the afternoon before meeting Gigi, Dodo & Kelly at Los Cucos for dinner. The service was slow but the dinner was yummy!

Crib Climber

Over the weekend, I heard Brooklyn calling Mommy, Mommy, Mommyyy and then Bubba, Bubba, Bubbaaaa from my room. I went to see what she had found and to my surprise she was sitting in her crib. Puzzled - I asked Devon why he put Brooklyn in her crib, he said he didn't that she climbed into it herself. I took my little monkey out and asked her to show me how she got in. This is her journey into her bed :)

Guess its time to take off the rail before she breaks her neck!
